This is clearly the most focused Electrical company on the planet. Hugo and his staff are detail oriented professionals, knowing all aspects of whatever electrical challenge is at hand. Trish is the consummate project manager, handling all the planning, sourcing, staging, and coordination tasks with a high level of detail. Key to their efforts is their ability to communicate to the customer exactly what is happening throughout the project. They did a "heavy up" to the old and antiquated electrical service at my residence, and it was a totally painless process from start to finish. Of particular note was their coordination with my electrical company (PEPCO) on this project. They also kept me informed of the approach, the schedule, the progress, and they sought my input on project decisions to fit within my budget and time frames. I give them my highest recommendation and would not hesitate to hire them again for any electrical project in the future.

I just built my house a year ago and needed to add an EV charger to my garage. Trish called me within an hour and set up an appointment for Hugo to come out the next day. There were two additional parts to the job I needed done as well, and one of them was a bit more expensive than I was expecting... but honestly, I had no idea how much to expect for the third part of the job so I can't blame them at all. There was no pressure at all to complete the more expensive portion of the job when I told them I'd have to pass on it at the time. The actual job was scheduled for the following week, and Tommy and Kevin showed up on time and were done in less than 3 hours. They gave me a few recommendations for drywall repair as well since there were three small holes that needed cut to run the new circuit for the EV charger. Highly recommended... Hugo & Kevin were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all questions from a new homeowner like myself.

We had an emergency at our restaurant in Washington, DC on a Friday night when all the power to our registers went out. Traffic in this area is terrible, but S&M Electrical Connections still made it to our location within two hours! They quickly found the issue, fixed it temporarily, and had us back up and running in no time.
They returned on Monday to complete the permanent repair so the problem wouldn't happen again. Their response time and pricing were excellent. They took the time to explain what happened so I could understand the issue, and they provided a clear, specific estimate for the follow-up repair-no hidden fees at all.

There are a lot of great electricians in Washington, DC. I was lucky enough to find Hugo & Cesar with S&M Electrical Connections.
Hugo came to my house to discuss my electrical project. He really listened to what I wanted. He asked in depth questions. He made suggestions that improved the remodel ideas I had for my kitchen & living room. He provided an estimate to me quickly. He told me up front that he wouldn't be the lowest or highest estimate. He said he likes to come in at the midpoint because when he gets work done on his home he has found the best tradesman are the ones who value the value their work and experiance and understand their pricing needs to be a win-win.
What I loved is that are no point did I feel like he was pushing me to get work done that wasn't needed. In fact he gave me options that saved me money.
Cesar was the main electrician. His junior electrician Angel was great too. They both worked quickly and never interfered with the daily routines of the house. They always cleaned up and made as little mess as possible. Cesar was also great about communicating about the project as he went along.
If you live in DC/MD/VA make sure you call S&M Electrical Connections for any electrical work you need. They are the only people we will ever use.
